About MeBurning Stars (previously known as Punk Rawker Magazine) started on June 22, 2001 by Maureen. She started it because she felt there were a lot of really good bands not getting coverage from other magazines. It started out as a print magazine but in August 2005 it was decided to make it online because it wasn't reaching enough people. The name change came at this time as well. The website began to grow bigger than it ever did as a print magazine.
